Meghan Decker is a respected speaker, teacher, and writer. Her new book, Tender Leaves of Hope: Finding Belonging as LGBTQ Latter-day Saint Women, chronicles her life as a gay Latter-day Saint and amplifies the voices of other LGBTQ women.
She was interviewed on Questions from the Closet, At Last She Said It, BYU Radio’s In Good Faith, and Listen, Learn, and Love podcasts and has presented at Gather, North Star, and other conferences. Meghan is co-author of Deseret Book’s Reaching for Hope: An LDS Perspective on Recovering from Depression, in addition to articles in Meridian Magazine, LDS Living, and The Friend. She has been a college instructor, Religious Studies teacher, and instructional designer for online learning platforms.
Meghan has five daughters and 15 grandchildren. She enjoys taking long walks in the woods, exploring new places and eating great food with her family, and listening to other’s perspectives and life stories.
